Team Expectations
Take care of your equipment. You will be issued a road bike
Many families in Bend have contributed to making this team happen. It’s important that you show appreciation, make good and responsible decisions, It’s a privilege to be selected for the Horner Cycling Foundation. This is why it’s important that you follow the guidelines outlined in the Rider Code of Conduct. Driver and bike related incidents happen more frequently in the rural areas of Central Oregon. We will do our best to educate our riders about making sure they don’t violate any laws while riding, not reacting when drivers are disrespectful.
Team Events and Activities
Riders will be expected to attend fundraising events either by participating in them or by volunteering such as the Thrilla Cyclocross Series in September.
Remember that you are representing your team. One negative interaction with someone can really damage the reputation of the team and jeopardize the longevity of the team.
Giving Back to the Community
Communicate with your coaches and/or staff if you cannot make a workout, ride or team function.
